Biography
Dr. Rutal Mahajan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Utica University, NY. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India, supported by the prestigious Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India. Her research focuses on Natural Language Processing, Low-resource language emotion analysis in multilingual text. She has authored numerous research papers published in reputed SCI and SCOPUS journals and has presented her work at international conferences.
Dr. Mahajan is a NVIDIA GenAI LLM Certified Associate, NVIDIA Certified Trainer, and serves as the Utica University NVIDIA Ambassador bringing industrial practices in her teaching. She has trained over 300 students and faculty in AI and High-Performance Computing technologies and contributed to an NSF‑supported CDER book project on curricular innovation in core computer science courses at Utica University. Dr. Mahajan is recognized for her clear communication and ability to simplify complex concepts, making her an effective educator.
She is passionate about connecting foundational theory with practical AI applications and making advanced computing concepts accessible to her students.
